We are committed to driving the future of wholesale trade, and we are looking for a highly skilled Tech Lead/Senior Software Engineer with expertise in the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack to join our team and lead our technical initiatives.
Position Overview
As a Tech Lead/Senior Software Engineer at Thokmandee, you will be at the forefront of our technology development, driving the architecture, design, and implementation of our custom platform. You will lead a team of talented developers, ensuring that our technology solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business goals. This is an opportunity to work on challenging projects, contribute to the growth of a pioneering platform.
Key Responsibilities
- - Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, offering technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- - Cultivate a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
- - Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack.
- - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
- - Ensure that the platform's architecture is secure, scalable, and maintainable.
- - Take full ownership of projects from the initial concept to deployment, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
- - Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities, striking a balance between short-term demands and long-term goals.
Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrates expertise in technical fields.
- - At least 5 years of experience in full-stack development, with a particular focus on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).
- - Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of JavaScript, including modern frameworks and libraries.
- - Experience with RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- - Comprehensive understanding of database design and administration, including proficiency in SQL and NoSQL.
- - Experience with cloud services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
- - Demonstrates familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Bonus Points
- - Experience with mobile app development (React Native or similar).
- - Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
- - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- - Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
